Blizzard 2013

One thing a heavy snow storm provides is pretty photographs. Here are a few I took around our home after The Blizzard (I hope the only blizzard!) of 2013.

This is the first big snow storm since we have had the house stained. It used to be natural wood siding and I knew the new color (Benjamin Moore - Amazon Green) would look wonderful after a snow storm! I have mentioned how unique our home is and these few views will show you the interstesting angles and roof lines from the exterior.

We heat with wood and because of all the storms and downed trees during the past year, we have next year's wood all cut and stacked along the back trail.

Our forested house site includes many scenic features but during this season the stream is one of the best. Here is the bridge we built as a summer project back in 2011.

The Pyramid sculpture from PVC pipe that we created during the summer of 2009 is always a good photographic subject.

But alias! This is New England. Today we have heavy rain. Things aren't quite so photogenic today.

Comments? Please note - Effective Feb. 11,2013 I am turning on word verification on this blog for commenting. The blog has been the target of spam comments for the past couple of weeks and I am getting flooded.  This is a short term effort to get spammers to move on. I will take off word verification again in a few weeks and see if that cleans up things or not. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  1. These are lovely photos! Newly fallen snow is gorgeous, isn't it! (Your home isn't half bad either - can I move in??)
