Birdhouses • Create a Collection

The birds and their songs arrive back in New England before things start turning green. It is one of the first signs of spring and it lifts ones's spirits to hear.  I have used the bird nest theme in my spring decor before but never birdhouses. This year, I got inspired by my Silhouette cutting machine and starting creating brightly colored, fanciful birdhouses.

And what fun I had! I created all types..... Neon pink with a rounded bottom.....

Embellished with a scalloped edge.....

Plain shape but madras paper.....

Two-storied style to allow for the in-laws to share......

Pentagon shaped in lime green with a polka-dot roof.....

Fanciful heart shaped entry way and windows......

A collection in blues and greens....

Others in pinks, purples and yellow......

Yes, I had fun!
And now I need to figure out a way to display them in the house. I wish I had a lemon tree!

  1. Those are darling! My son would love to make something like that with me to hang in our tree. Would you consider sharing it here? http://www.oneartsymama.com/2013/04/shine-on-fridays-74-and-grab-bag.html
