Welcome Home Zoe

Today I am trying to create in someone else's house. I am finding that more challenging than cooking in someone else's kitchen! I am at my daughter and son-in-law's home waiting for them to arrive home with our new granddaughter, born two days ago.  This is my third grandchild and I am still awed by the miracle of new life. I decided to create a welcome home banner for Zoe. My original plan was a quick trip to ACMoore for supplies but timing was too early so I searched in the house, found paper, ribbon and a stapler and went to work.

I had a banner swing from the trim work before they arrived home from the hospital.

It was a challenge working. I had a tiny corner of the counter available and used the kitchen floor for layout.

But my creation wasn't the most beautiful of the day........

Not even close! Welcome Zoe.

  2. My fourth grandchild is named Zoe. She is 15 months. I am privileged to babysit her once a week. I'm so in love with her. Your banner is darling. I will have to remember that idea, as I am keeping my finger crossed for a little sister or brother for Zoe.

Your Zoe looks so perfect - even though she is only a few days old.

Love the picture of the proud parents.

    1. Hello Denise, our Zoe lives 4 hours away so I don't get to babysit on a regular basis. But my daughter and son-in-law are very welcoming so visit. Our Zoe is a little sister but it took awhile for her to arrive. Big brother is four now and learning to be helpful.

Oh, I miss having babies in my life. We seem to be in that life stage that no one is a baby anymore and isn't in time to give us babies to love. So, thank you for sharing yours Marji.

Wishing upon Zoe and her lovely family all the Blessings of Happiness, Health and Joy! A good start with Grandma's Lovely - amazing! - Banner.

Welcome, Zoe! Thank you for coming!!!

    1. Absolutely a blessing. Our family had been in a no baby phase for years and now the next generation has started to arrive. It adds joy to every family occasion to have babies and little kids there.

    1. I am amazed at how beautiful she is after natural child birth. Generally they are a little more beat up and take a few days to get beautiful. Her little nose wasn't even smooshed. Thanks for visiting.
