Houses, of course! And to complete the scene I added two trees (same ones as in my birch centerpiece) and the line filled with drying clothes blowing in the breeze.
This little street scene is tiny. Here is a view with the electric outlet to give you a good idea as to scale.
I designed a series of different houses and learned that gable end view worked best in this application. I went on to design 3 different structures including a country cottage...
A Greek Revival styled home....
And a two story town house.....
But the fun is in the details including the picket fence, pine trees and laundry.
And I kept the entire scene white to match the room.
Update: The tutorial is live. Click here for the step-by-step process.
First craft project for the laundry room done. At least two more to go!
