Fall Leaves Indoors

Don't know why but I always assumed branches of fall leave would quickly curl and die indoors. This year I am not assuming anything and experimenting with all.  Yesterday I took along a pair of pruning shears for our afternoon woods walk.  I was hunting for branches of brightly colored leaves.  The challenge wasn't finding them, it was reaching them.  Most are high off the ground and although I still do occasionally climb a tree I don't with shears in my hand. David helped bend some down and eventually I had an arm load of mixed colors.

Brought them home, clipped them down and put them in my elliptical vase. So easy.

Look at those colors! Fall in New England is wonderful!
Now the test of time. All on the floor in a day or two or will I get a week plus?
