We are in the heart of winter here in New England and the forests are showing their skeletal structure. Interestingly, I have found myself drawn to sticks, twigs and branches for the past few months. I regularly come back from our walks clutching an handful of twigs with ideas flitting through my mind. I was surprised as the piles of interesting branches have piled up but when I considered it, I had my answer. The trees are truly beautiful in the winter season. I hunted back through my own photographs and pulled out some from my collection to prove my point. I want to share with you the beauty and inspiration I note in the winter trees. Just look....
What a beautiful world we live in!
Note: All these photographs have been taken by me in the last few years within several miles of our home.

It is so great to find someone else who loves the winter silhouettes of trees as I do, and can show them in pictures so beautifully! It may sound strange, but I am always sad in the springtime when the trees "disappear" again underneath their canopies of leaves.
